Arizona Foster and Adoption Alliance (AZFAA)—a community-driven organization dedicated to empowering foster and adoptive families across Arizona through the provision of essential haircare services and hygiene resources as part of our self awareness and wellness program.

At AZFAA, we believe that "When you look better, you feel better." This is more than just a slogan—it’s a guiding principle. Personal appearance and hygiene are critical to self-esteem, especially for children and youth navigating the foster care system or other challenging circumstances. That’s why we focus on providing access to services that foster confidence, dignity, and self-worth.

Each month, we allocate funds to families in need for haircare services, ensuring children can access professional grooming that boosts their confidence in school and social settings. We also host monthly hygiene meetings where we distribute bags filled with essentials such as deodorant, shampoo and conditioner, sanitary napkins, and facial soap—items many take for granted, but that are truly life-changing for those without regular access.

In addition to supporting families, AZFAA extends its impact by offering haircare services to individuals in homeless shelters—helping them prepare for job interviews and new beginnings.

While these services may not always be seen as urgent needs, we know firsthand the significant difference they make in people's lives. That’s why we are reaching out to community partners, local businesses, and compassionate individuals like you. Your support can help us reach more families, serve more youth, and continue promoting health and self-worth where it's needed most.
